In accordance with federal regulations and SNMCAC policy, as of January 31, 2022, SNMCAC Head Start will comply with the mandatory vaccination requirement for all employees as a condition of employment. The Administrative Assistant provides secretarial duties to support assigned administrative personnel; communicates information to staff, children and families, the public, and other visitors. This position will also ensure compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements and with SNMCAC’s Confidentiality Policy assuring that the agency’s, children, family, and employee records and information are always protected.
Performs clerical and some duties to include answering the telephone effectively, taking accurate messages, directing callers to the appropriate individual, and provides information and/or direction as may be requested along with greets visitors; announces their arrival to appropriate staff person(s) and assist them, if possible, by providing information and/or direction as may be requested.
The Administrative Assistant maintains positive communication with parents, staff members, clients, and visitors to promote a mutually beneficial learning and working environments for all clients and employees and develops and maintains a positive, professional working relationship with the staff and the community.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence).
- One (1) years’ experience as a secretary or performing secretarial responsibilities.
Salary – This is a Non-Exempt position $11.50 – $16.66 hourly depending on qualifications (related experience, education, training, etc.)
