The Cook Assistant is responsible for assisting the Cook with the preparation of meals, the delivery of meals to the classroom, the receiving of food and non-food supplies and ensuring that the cleanliness of the kitchen and the food storage areas are all in accordance with federal, state, and local health regulations and licensing codes. They will also assist in the preparation of family-style meals using that meet Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) “Meal Pattern” requirements.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Three (3) to six (6) months’ work experience as a cook assistant preferred.
Salary – This is a Non-Exempt position $12.66 – $15.82 hourly depending on qualifications (related experience, education, training, etc.)
We offer a 4-day work week (Monday – Thursday)
