Head Start Education Manager in Carlsbad, NM

Under the supervision and direction of the Head Start Director, the Education Manager promotes school readiness of SNMCAC Head Start’s children by providing high quality technical assistance, mentoring, coaching and training to the education staff and agency. The Education Manager is responsible for planning, implementing and administering the Education content area of the Head Start program in such a way as to ensure quality as defined by the Head Start Performance Standards. Will receive instruction, training, supervision, and evaluation from the Head Start Director.

Non-Exempt position   Salary: $30.50 – $38.13 per hour or $57, 096 – $71,379 Annual

Education and Experience:

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent course work in Early Childhood Education.

· Two (2) years’ experience in early childhood education, social work, parent education, family studies, or related field.

· Two (2) years supervisory experience.

Preferred:

· Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Master’s Degree and equivalent course work in Early Childhood Education

· Two (2) years’ experience in early childhood education, social work, parent education, family studies, or related field.

  • One (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Related work experience with young children in a Head Start or similar program.
  • Previous experience in Head Start as an employee, parent or volunteer; experience or training in working with children who have special needs.

4-Day Work Week (Monday-Thursday)
