Job Summary:

Under the guidance, direction, and leadership of the Education Manager, and through a Practice-Based Coaching approach, the Quality Improvement Supervisor will partner with and support classroom teachers and teacher assistants to effectively carry out the program framework for school readiness. Will devise a system for implementing and supporting the ongoing development of classroom staff. And additionally, will initiate a system to ensure effective communication respectfully, courteously, and professionally within each center and across all areas of SNMCAC.

The Qualify Improvement Supervisor oversees a professional development system that includes structured observation, reflective supervision, coordinating and delivery of training, and modeling best practice in the classroom. This position trains, instructs, supervises, and evaluates assigned staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or a baccalaureate or advanced degree and equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education with Early Education teaching experience.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience.

Preferred:

· Related work experience with young children in a Head Start or similar program.

· Previous experience in Head Start as an employee, parent or volunteer; experience or training in working with children who have special needs.

Salary – This is an Exempt position. 

We offer a 4-day work week (Monday – Thursday)
